Taverne Willi Becher is closing

Sad news, with a big smile!
Our holiday has given us time to contemplate Taverno, the past 3 years and our future.

We started as a temporary bar & restaurant in our beloved neighbourhood in what turned out to be a very rocky start.
The first few months we could only serve a limited amount of guests, followed by a period in which we couldn’t serve anyone at all.
This situation did not help to kick off as we wanted, which made the first full service period challenging.
It took us till our first summer season to get the feeling right, find our crowd, sharpen the menu and build our musical menu.
With the help of all our staff, all guest chefs, brewers, wine-makers, dj’s, bands, radio TNP and off course all of you, we were able to keep growing after that.
The years that followed were super fun and created too many memories for this moment to recall!
At the end of last year we were able to extend our contract for another 5 years!
This development brings a new perspective to our possibilities and brings the question what this new fase should look like?
We are excited to explore all options, including new concepts, new partners, new fun!
We believe because of this situation we have to make a difficult decision, a decision to change for the better.
Therefore we decided not to open our doors as Taverno anymore as of today.
Except for a proper goodbye party on Saturday the 27th of this month!
More info soon! [DOEI DOEI]
In the meantime we want to thank all of you for the adventure so far,
and welcome you to join us for the next chapter!
Please get in touch if you are keen to collaborate in the (near) future!
Hope to see lots of you one more time in Taverno the 27th!
